There are three statutory harbour authorities within the dockyard port of Plymouth. These are ABP Millbay, The Cattewater Harbour Commission and Sutton Harbour Improvement company. Overall Authority is with the Dockyard Port of Plymouth. ABP's operation within the Port of Plymouth lies with the Queen`s Harbour Master. ABP Operation is mainly based on RoRo ferries and cruise ships. Three terminals within the Cattewater handle refined petroleum products, dry bulk and aggregates. Sutton Harbour is home to the Ports fishing industry. The combined statutory authorities offer a wide variety of options for potential shippers with good road communications, combined with an advantageous geographical position, ensure that it is well placed to continue to expand its trade with the Continent and further a field.
